Wait, Is ‘Camp Rock 3’ Really Happening? Here’s Everything We Know

Could Camp Rock 3 really be happening after all these years? After more than a decade since Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam first hit screens, fans wondered if Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers would ever reunite for a third film. Now, not only is the movie confirmed — but filming is already underway, and the updates just keep getting better.

Here’s everything we know so far about Disney’s highly anticipated return to Camp Rock.

When Was It Confirmed?

In September 2025, Disney officially announced that Camp Rock 3 was in production. Lovato took to Instagram to share her excitement, posting a photo of herself in an executive producer’s chair. “this is me (in my producer era),” she captioned the shot, making it clear she’ll be working behind the scenes as well as potentially in front of the camera.

Disney also confirmed that the Jonas Brothers — Kevin, Nick and Joe — will serve as executive producers. To mark the moment, the trio posted a video from set with the caption, “We’re back!! #CampRock3 is now in production 🎤.”

Who’s in the Cast?

Alongside the return of Connect 3, new campers will be making their debut. Sherry Cola joins as Lark, Liamani Segura as Sage, Malachi Barton as Fletch, Lumi Pollack as Rosie, Hudson Stone as Desi, Casey Trotter as Cliff, Brooklynn Pitts as Callie and Ava Jean as Madison.

Fan-favorite Maria Canals-Barrera will reprise her role as Connie Torres, Mitchie’s mom. While Demi has been confirmed as an executive producer, it has not yet been revealed whether she’ll reprise her iconic role as Mitchie.

What’s the Plot?

According to a press release, the story picks up when Connect 3 lose their opening act for a major reunion tour, leading them back to Camp Rock to discover the next big star. “As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations and romances.”

When’s the Release Date?

While filming began in September 2025, Disney has not yet announced an official release date. Given the production timeline, fans can likely expect the movie to premiere in 2026.

How Did ‘Camp Rock 2’ Leave Off?

The last time fans saw Camp Rock, the camp nearly closed after a high-stakes showdown with rival Camp Star. Although Camp Star technically won the competition, many of their campers defected after seeing the heart and camaraderie of Camp Rock. The final bonfire became an emotional farewell — but also a reminder of why fans have been desperate for a third movie ever since.
