In the craziness that is the Internet, fans are wondering if Impractical Jokers star Sal Vulcano is still on the show. However, fans of the truTV series can breathe a sigh of relief because we’re pretty sure the comedian is not going anywhere, anytime soon.

Sal, 40, is currently on tour with his co-stars James “Murr” Murray, Joe Gatto, and Brian “Q” Quinn, and is even getting ready for the second annual Impractical Jokers Cruise, which is completely sold out! The guys, when they’re not filming, call themselves The Tenderloins, which could explain the confusion when it comes to Sal’s status on the show. Season 7 is set to premiere in early 2018.

“We thought that might be the case if we had gotten this far but it’s proven to be not a detriment to the show because New York is so densely populated that as many people know us,” Sal told the Pop Break of being recognized while performing pranks. “There’s tons more that don’t so that’s why even if we take the show on the road sometimes… As long as that place has a lot of people, we’ll navigate those waters.”

Another major question viewers have when it comes to Sal is whether or not he is gay. He did “come out” once on television, but he said it was to help Murr come out of the closet. However, all signs point to it being another one of the group’s “impractical” jokes. Unlike his co-stars, Sal is very private when it comes to his personal life, which only helps to fuel the speculation.

While Impractical Jokers has only been on the air since 2011, the guys have been working together since they met in high school in Staten Island. The formed their comedy group in 1999 and after racking up millions of views for their Internet sketches they transitioned to television.

“Every time we have a chance to mention it, we say we’re from Staten Island,” he said in 2015. “Because of some of the stereotypes, sometimes Staten Island gets a bad rap, and we’re in a position to at least try to maybe change that perception.”
