Is ‘Zoey 101’ Coming Back? Jamie Lynn Spears Seemingly Teases a Reboot With a New Script
~Are you ready?~ Because we’re not! Jamie Lynn Spears teased a possible Zoey 101 reboot when she shared a photo of a script, and we can’t contain our excitement.
The 28-year-old covered most of the words on the script with the exception of the the line “Gimme that bacon!” and the name “Sean,” which could possibly be referring to actor Sean Flynn, who played Zoey Brooks’ curly-haired best friend/crush Chase Matthews on the Nickelodeon series.
TBH, it’s not completely shocking that Zoey 101 may be coming back in some shape or form — especially after the cast recently reunited and hung out. Unfortunately, Jamie couldn’t attend because of work, but she did send her former castmates some love. “Not only did I miss the reunion, but I also missed the FaceTime, because I’m lame and fell asleep … thank y’all for the video and hope to see y’all very soon,” the blonde beauty captioned a video from July of Sean, Victoria Justice, Matthew Underwood, Paul Butcher, Christopher Massey, Erin Sanders and Abby Wilde greeting her.
“It was a lot of fun,” Victoria exclusively told Life & Style about their get-together. “It was great getting back together. It really just brought back old times and so many great memories. I just remember sitting there and looking at everyone’s faces and just feeling like no one had really changed. Like, things had obviously changed but we were still like at our core the same people and it just felt so comfortable and so familiar, so that was a really nice feeling. It was really fun.”
Need more reasons to believe this is actually happening? Well, the creator of the show, Dan Schneider, was also at the reunion, and he shared some words about their hangout, which suggests that he could be cooking something up again with the now grown-up kids of PCA. “Some Zoey 101 buzz got me talking with my good friend Sean Flynn (‘Chase’) … and within about 72 hours, this happened! I’m not sure how I feel about my new glasses, but that was one of the most fun nights ever. A wonderful cast of kids then, and even better all grown up!” he wrote on IG. “Much love/respect for all of you!”
