With healthy habits, a positive attitude and a serious dedication toward reinventing himself, Jas Mathur is living his best life these days. But it hasn’t always been that way. “At my peak I was 450 pounds. I had a 68-inch waist and wore a size 6XL shirt,” confesses Jas, 34, who decided to make a “life change” in his 20s. “I said, ‘I’m going to challenge myself’ — and I did.”

Jas lost 88 pounds in the first three months alone — and since then, he’s devoted his life to health and wellness. “The majority of people in today’s society are hesitant to take a step forward toward achieving their goals and dreams because they’re afraid of failing,” says Jas, who’s dropped more than 250 pounds and launched the celeb-friendly fitness company Limitless. “You have to overcome that fear and have the confidence to know that you can do it and believe in yourself.”

Here, the mind and body guru chats with Life & Style about his health, his weight loss and the formula for being Limitless.

Was your weight an issue growing up?
I was pretty active in elementary school. It’s only when I got my first computer at age 11 that I started gaining weight. I’d juggle my time between surfing the web, talking in chat rooms and playing video games. I was also a huge WWE fan and started my own wrestling website.

When did you decide to get healthy?
I impulsively bought a brand-new Porsche 911 Turbo and had it shipped to me. When it came, I couldn’t fit in the car. I was literally too big for the vehicle. It opened my eyes. I also reconnected with a girl from high school I was interested in on Facebook. I didn’t want her to see what I looked like! It lit a fire in me to change my appearance.

How did you lose the weight?
I had a trainer. He guided me on what, how and when to eat. I used to eat for pleasure. It took me a while to learn and adapt to portion control! I also took vitamins and supplements, which were — and continue to be — a great aid throughout my body-transformation journey.

You’ve lost over 250 pounds. How are you feeling these days?
I feel amazing! My friends who knew me back then are in disbelief. It took a lot of work and dedication but I’m living proof that amazing results come through discipline, commitment and consistency.

This whole journey must have been emotional for you.
There’s a huge emotional aspect behind this. Even when I’d lost all the weight, it took me years to break down my insecurities. But I feel blessed and grateful to have been given a new lease on life.

Your story is very inspiring. Have you been using it to motivate others?
I want people to understand that overcoming emotional hurdles during the
process is far more challenging than transforming physically. But the goal is to never give up and never let obstacles stop you from turning your dreams into reality.

What’s the best advice you can offer?
Meditate. Take 20 to 30 minutes for yourself each and every day, when you’re not distracted by noise or outside elements. That’s how you’ll discover yourself, unlock your true potential and, most importantly, reinvent yourself.

What’s next for you?
I’ll continue to share my day-to-day transformation, experiences and journey
via my Instagram: @limitless. I’m also developing nutrition and skincare products, which I put years of research and development into along with industry experts. I even have a few that are currently available for purchase: NZT-48 Limitless Pill (Focus and Mood Enhancer); Divatrim (Slimmer and Toner for Women); and Oneshot (Pre-Workout).
