Jen Shah Posts Rare Prison Photo to Celebrate 31st Anniversary With Husband Sharrieff
Love doesn’t stop at prison walls.
Jen Shah’s anniversary with husband Sharrieff Shah looks a little different this year, but the couple still found a way to mark the milestone.
Currently serving her prison sentence, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star shared a rare and intimate snapshot from behind bars to honor 31 years of marriage.
“❤️8.27.1994❤️,” Jen, 51, captioned the Instagram post on Wednesday, August 27. The photo showed Jen smiling in her prison uniform as Sharrieff, 54, wrapped an arm around her. He appeared casual in an Under Armour polo and shorts, while the timestamp on the image noted July 6 at 1:23 p.m.
The reality star also acknowledged the anniversary in a more traditional way the day before, gushing over her husband in a touching message. “Happy 31st Anniversary today to me and my baby!” Jen wrote on Tuesday, August 27.
“Words cannot express how much I love and appreciate you. You bring so much joy to my life & I am forever thankful for your overwhelming love and support as we approach this next chapter. Thank you for blessing me with two amazing young men. I love you so much & can’t wait to hold you again soon. 💕 #Bismillah,” she continued.
Jen’s love note comes more than a year into her prison sentence. In July 2022, she pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud after initially entering a not guilty plea. The Bravo alum was sentenced to six and a half years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release. She began serving her time in February 2023 at the Bryan Prison Camp in Texas and, according to federal inmate records, is scheduled for release in August 2026.
Before her legal troubles, Jen gained notoriety on *RHOSLC* for her lavish lifestyle, fiery temper, and headline-making drama. After her arrest, her case became one of the show’s central storylines, and her public proclamations of innocence—even selling “Justice for Jen” merchandise—kept her in the spotlight.
Since entering prison, Jen has shared few updates, though she occasionally breaks her silence. Back in March, she wrote on her blog that she was in “great spirits” thanks to the outpouring of support from fans.
“The consistent love and admiration from my supporters, my loving family and my faith keeps me going as I make it through this rehabilitative journey of coming home soon,” she explained at the time. “I remain consistent in my passion for fitness and helping other inmates achieve similar goals. You will see more soon.”
