Pregnancy is supposed to be a beautiful time in a woman’s life, and while it certainly was for Jessica Simpson, it also came with its downfalls.
During her pregnancy with daughter Maxwell in 2012, the blonde bombshell was often criticized for her weight gain.
“I was so insecure,” said the 33-year-old, who’s now showing off her slim post-baby body in a series of new commercials for Weight Watchers.
“I couldn’t even believe what I weighed.”
After welcoming the little angel with fiancé **Eric Johnson** that May, she worked hard to shed the 50 pounds she gained.
However, five months later she received the shock of a lifetime with news she was pregnant with baby No. 2, son **Ace** who was born last June.
“I don’t think that I ever expected myself to see the numbers that I have seen on the scale,” she shared.
“It was hard to suppress it [the second time around]. I knew that I would be gaining the weight back, so I didn’t really think about it that much.”
In fact, she was intent on not gaining as much by incorporating more exercise.
“I went on walks and I worked out throughout my second pregnancy,” she said on *Good Morning America* Tuesday.
Now, Jess is showing the haters how it’s all paid off.
Along with maintaining a workout regime, she also has a healthier diet.
“For breakfast, I’m an oatmeal girl. Lunch, I do bread, so I will have like a sandwich or something. But, for dinner, I try and keep it super clean.”

With a wedding finally on its way (it’s been postponed twice due to children), she’s focused on all the planning.
“I have a date. I’m super excited,” she revealed, but wouldn’t say when the pair will tie the knot.
“It’ll be soon though.”
After the fashion designer says “I do,” it seems she’ll be going back to where her career all began – singing!
“I want to sing again. I want my daughter to see me on stage,” she said.
“My fiancé has never even watched me perform, which is crazy. But that’s my passion, that’s my love, that’s everything I am.”
But motherhood remains her main focus.
“If I could give my kids anything, it’s just to support in their dreams and who they want to be.”
