Our thoughts are with Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin, as she revealed that her husband Bobby lost his battle with cancer. He was 71 years old. The announcement came on her website.

“With the heaviest of hearts, we are devastated to share the news that our beloved Bobby Zarin passed away peacefully today surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer,” the statement read. “There are no words to describe how heartbroken we are. Thank you everyone, for all your love and support during this difficult time.”

In addition to the Real Housewives alum, Bobby is survived by his three kids, David, 41, Jennifer, 38, and Jonathan, 35, as well as his stepdaughter Ally Shapiro.

The founder of Zarin Fabrics has long battled cancer; in 2009, he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and subsequently underwent iodine treatment before having his thyroid removed. Then, in 2013, he learned that the cancer spread to his lungs. Most recently, in November 2016, Jill told fans that her husband had a malignant brain tumor.

Bobby’s passing comes just days after his 18th wedding anniversary with Jill. On Instagram, she wrote, “Happy 18th anniversary to the love my life Bobby Zarin! Bobby is the most perfect man I know. He never loses anything, never forgets anything, and when I think he is wrong… He is already right! Truly a love story.”

Jill's husband was loved by all of her RHONY co-stars and many of them — including producer Andy Cohen — took to Twitter to share tributes and offer their condolences to Jill during such a difficult time.

"I always enjoyed Bobby Zarin and admired his cool presence and steady hand. My condolences to @Jillzarin and the whole family. #RIP, " Andy wrote.

“'Here’s to those who wish us well. All the rest can go to hell.' One of Bobby Zarin’s favorites. Another one: 'It’s all good,' and Bobby, now it really is… #RIP," Bethenny Frankel wrote.

"One of my favorite #BobbyZarin sayings was 'One more, that’s it!' Cheers to you sir, a true mensch. #RIPBobby and love to @Jillzarin and family," Alex McCord wrote.

"Condolences to @JillZarin what a sweet man he was,#RIP dear Bobby," RHOBH star Lisa Vanderpump wrote.

Our continued condolences are with Jill and all of Bobby’s loved ones. Rest in peace, Bobby.
