‘Fuller House’ Star Jodie Sweetin’s Ex-Fiancé’s Lawyer Denies Violent Claims (EXCLUSIVE)
While it seemed like things fell apart overnight for Jodie Sweetin and ex-fiancé Justin Hodak, Life & Style is exclusively reporting that the actress had been living a nightmare for months before the split went public.
On March 24, Jodie announced that the pair had broken up. The same day, the Fuller House star was granted a temporary restraining order against Justin, 40, claiming in court documents that he’d verbally abused her and violently tipped over a 7-foot bookshelf on March 18, before taking out a 9-millimeter pistol and threatening to use it.

Even the restraining order didn’t stop him: He was arrested three days later for violating it after already being arrested for violating an earlier emergency protective order.

In a statement to Life & Style, an attorney for Justin insists, “Mr. Hodak has never threatened to harm Ms. Sweetin or anyone in their family,” adding, “he looks forward to answering the allegations and resolving his legal matters in a court of law.”
But an insider says things began to go bad right after Christmas when the stress of planning a wedding started getting to Justin.

Jodie revealed in court papers that Justin, a recovered addict like Jodie, had recently fallen off the wagon, and his abusive behavior escalated. “Jodie didn’t want to admit things had gone south,” the insider explains. “But what used to be little fights became Justin flipping out and turning into a monster. She had terrible fears about what could happen to her.”
When asked whether Justin had relapsed, his lawyer declined to comment.
