Nikki Bella Responds to John Cena’s ‘Today’ Show Comments About Wanting to Have Children
Never give up may be WWE Superstar John Cena's motto in the ring, but it's also his mantra for his love life, too. Just one month after he and his longtime love, fellow WWE Superstar Nikki Bella, broke up and called off their wedding, John made an appearance on the Today show where he professed his love for Nikki, and he even revealed that he changed his mind and he does want to have children with her in the future. Now, Nikki has responded to John's comments — and she's shocked by his confession about wanting kids.
"Wow. Well, I'm speechless. That's crazy," the Total Divas star told Extra. She also revealed that fans will get to watch a lot of the beginning of the wedding planning stages during the upcoming season of her spin-off Total Bellas, and the emotional split that followed. But she also said that she has hope for her future with John.
The fact that Nikki is hopeful about their relationship is good news for John, because he made it very clear that he didn’t want to be with anyone else but Nikki during his interview on the Today show. He also explained that even though people may have seen photos of him out and about "enjoying the single life," that is not the case.
"It’s up and it’s down, it’s been incredible reflective which is amazing, but it’s very difficult. I had my heart broken out of nowhere," John siad. "I love her, I want to be with her, I want to make her my wife, I want to be the father of her children, I just want us to work."
John’s admission about wanting children with Nikki could very well be the thing that could bring them back together. Fans who have followed their relationship since Season 1 of Total Divas know that John had been very open about the fact that he didn’t want to get married again after his divorce from his first wife, and he also didn’t want to have kids. He eventually changed his mind about marriage and the couple was set to walk down the aisle on May 5, but Nikki called it off because John allegedly didn’t budge on his stance about not wanting children — and it seems like his split from Nikki made him change his mind.
