Jonathan Rhys Meyers’ Wife Mara Suffers Miscarriage, Shares Heartbreaking Video
Just days after informing her followers that she suffered a miscarriage, Jonathan Rhys Meyers's wife Mara shares a heartbreaking video of the doctor telling her the baby has no heartbeat. In a lengthy Instagram post, Mara zooms in a sonogram of her miscarried child — and thanks her fans for their support.
"So, unfortunately, the fetus has no heartbeat," her doctor can be heard saying in the background of the sad clip. To cope with the loss, Mara reveals the couple has planted a tree in front of their home. "I have been given peace and Baby Willow is now planted in the tree in front of our home that has weeping long branches and leaves so we can brush our faces in soft leaves in passing or we can see the baby dance with the wind in the branches as they sway," she wrote. "It is helping me process the situation."
Mara, who shares nine-month-old son Wolf with The Tudors actor, first shared the tragic news last week and explained that Jonathan, 40, was taking the news very hard and is struggling with his sobriety.
"Child was very very much wanted (right now especially by J, so he took the news particularly not so well) and we are still working with coping skills over here… when life throws us curve balls such as these," she added. "Depression is a real concern from past abuse as well as alcoholism which he was born with. He has been able to turn any ugliness and hurt in his life into art and is the strongest person I know. I do not know anyone who has been through what he has been through and reached his level of successes. "
Jonathan is currently with his sober living companion, according to Mara, and trying to get into a detox program. She ended the touching post with some words of wisdom for her followers. "Life is life. Life is beautiful. Life is tough sometimes though so let's try not looking down at someone unless we intend on helping them up." Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.
