Following a scary hospitalization in November, Kanye West made a triumphant return to the spotlight on Wednesday, Feb. 15, when he debuted his Yeezy Season 5 collection at New York Fashion Week.
The rapper-turned-designer received support from wife Kim Kardashian — in head-to-toe burgundy — and sister-in-law Kylie Jenner during the show, which took place at Pier 59 in Chelsea. According to E!, the "Fame" hitmaker kicked out all credentialed photographers before the presentation started, and signs reading "No cell phones, No photos, No videos, Absolutely no social media" were allegedly posted at the venue — a rule that his wife (and many others) broke.
As Life & Style previously reported, the 39-year-old has been busy prepping for his latest collaboration with Adidas, and even skipped the Grammys on Sunday, Feb. 12, to focus on the event.
"There's been a rumor that he's not coming [to the Grammys] for various reasons, but the truth is he's got a big fashion show in New York because it's New York Fashion Week right now," Kris Jenner explained on the red carpet. "And my entire family is back there… He's got a lot of work to do. He wishes he could be here."
But, an insider told People magazine, “There is definitely some concern that the show will be too much stress for him. He gets so involved and it’s hard for him to not get obsessed.” And while this kind of pressure “has been very bad for him in the past,” the source shared that Kim “keeps checking in to make sure he gets enough sleep.”
The mother-of-two revealed on Valentine’s Day that the couple is in a good place after months of divorce rumors by posting a photo of the duo sharing a sweet kiss on Instagram.
