Keanu Reeves’ Girlfriend Alexandra Grant Has ‘Stolen His Heart’: Inside the Pair’s Whirlwind Romance
A storybook romance! On Monday, November 4, Life & Style broke the news that Keanu Reeves and his longtime business partner Alexandra Grant are dating. Now, we’re taking a deep dive into the pair’s enviable relationship, including how Alexandra was able to help the John Wick actor, 55, move on from his troubled history.
“She’s kind, warm and spiritual, just like Keanu, and a great communicator,” a source exclusively says of Keanu’s newly minted girlfriend. “She’s one of the few people who’s managed to get Keanu to open up about his emotions and past.” In 1999, Keanu’s partner at the time, Jennifer Syme, gave birth to the pair’s daughter, Ava, but tragically, she was stillborn. The pair split shortly thereafter. Two years later, in 2001, Jennifer died in a car accident.
“Keanu was so traumatized by her death that there were times when he couldn’t get out of bed in the morning,” says the insider, adding that “everything changed” when Alexandra came into his life. “He was in such a dark place for so long, but Alexandra’s positive outlook and support have played a huge part in helping him turn his life around,” adds the source. “Some say she’s not only stolen his heart but she’s also saved him.”
Since taking their relationship to the next level, Keanu and Alexandra are constantly spending time together. “They’re practically inseparable,” gushes the insider, noting that some of their favorite loved-up activities include romantic candlelit dinners, secret vacations and riding motorcycles.
As it stands, Keanu and Alexandra are just enjoying the ride … literally and figuratively. With that, they plan to take their courtship slow and steady. “Friends don’t think marriage is in the cards for Keanu. He’s already lost one love and can’t help but be afraid that it could happen again — though he’s working through these commitment issues,” notes the insider. “He’s one of the nicest guys in Hollywood. If anyone deserves to find love, it’s Keanu.”
