Kim Kardashian Is a “Very Hands-On Mom” With Baby Girl Chicago (REPORT)
She’s a pro! Just one week after welcoming her daughter Chicago, Kim Kardashian is settling seamlessly into life as a mother-of-three. The KUWTK star is reportedly bonding with her baby girl — and that includes late-night feedings.
“Kim gets up for everything, in the middle of the night, especially in the first week. It’s really important they bond with the baby. Kim’s a very hands-on mom,” a source told Us Weekly. “Baby is settling in beautifully. Chi is sleeping a ton for now.”
Kim and hubby Kanye West welcomed Chicago via surrogate on Jan. 15 and announced the exciting news on her website. “Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl,” she wrote. “We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.”
Just a few days later, she revealed her daughter’s unique name, seemingly in honor of Kanye’s hometown. “Kanye came up with the name and Kim loved the significance behind the name. It was a mutual decision, which they discussed and agreed upon together,” a source told E! News. “Kim loves the nickname, and North is already calling her Chi. It’s super cute.” And aunt Khloé Kardashian is also a fan, tweeting, “I LOOOOOOOOOOVE her name…hey Chi (shy).”
Tthe couple is also determined to make sure their two older kids feel special amidst the arrival of their newborn sister. “Kim wants to make sure North and Saint have a lot of extra attention and feel included as well. It’s a big deal for everyone to have a newborn in the family,” a source shared with People. “Kim and Kanye are at home with the baby. They are so happy. They have had some visitors, but mostly Kris [Jenner] and Kourtney [Kardashian] are helping out.” Now, we’re just patiently waiting for Chi’s social media debut!
