If you ever question whether the love between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West is real, this will give you a definitive answer. Ever since Yeezy returned to Twitter about a week ago, he’s been showering fans with tweets on every topic from business, to family, to politics, to his live Twitter book, and so on. Things have gotten controversial more than once. Immediately, fans began wondering if this was the beginning of some sort of breakdown, but Kim wants everyone to know that Ye’s mental health is just fine, thank you very much.

“Commentary on Kanye being erratic & his tweets being disturbing is actually scary,” she tweeted. “So quick to label him as having mental health issues for just being himself when he has always been expressive is not fair.” Kim went on to explain that his split from former manager Scooter Braun was simply a “business decision,” and not because of Yeezy’s behavior.

Today, he mentioned that he would always have love for Donald Trump, even if he doesn’t agree with him 100%. People were obviously offended, but Kim says that isn’t fair. “He’s a free thinker, is that not allowed in America?” she continued. “Because some of his ideas differ from yours you have to throw in the mental health card? That’s just not fair.” She went on to say that Kanye is entitled to his opinion about Trump, even though hers is “very different.” “He never said he agrees with his politics,” she clarified.

And to all the jokes about Kim leaving Kanye for his strong opinions, she’s not having any of that. “Kanye will never run in the race of popular opinion and we know that and that’s why I love him and respect him,” she said. “In a few years when someone else says the same exact thing but they aren’t labeled the way he is, you will all praise them! Kanye is years ahead of his time.”

Kim wasn’t the only person who felt the need to defend Kanye either. Even Chance the Rapper, who was incredibly close with and supportive of the Obamas, wants everyone to know Kanye’s mental health is not a concern. “Talked to him two days ago,” he tweeted. “He’s in a great space and not affected by folks tryna question his mental or physical health. Same Ye from the VMAs, same Ye from the telethon.” He went on to say that Kanye doesn’t “have to be a democrat” just because he’s black, and that the “next president gon be independent.”
