The next season of Don’t Be Tardy is going to be… tardy. Kim Zolciak-Biermann has reportedly stopped filming her Bravo spin-off following her racist rant that was captured on camera during The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion. The 39-year-old reality star has been slammed by viewers following the episode — and is currently scrambling to figure out her next move.

“Kim and her team have halted all production for Don’t Be Tardy while her lawyers have been working around the clock to investigate and deal with the final episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion,” one source told Us Weekly. A second insider added, “Kim has pulled the plug on filming. She’s very upset about the entire situation.”

So what did Kim Zolciak say?

During the course of the season, Kim and her daughter Brielle Biermann accused NeNe Leakes of having a “roach nest” in her new home. Many on the stage felt that the saying alluded to a stereotyped culture of oppressed black women living in the projects. Kim also claimed that Kandi Burruss wanted to “lick her box” — something Kandi vehemently denies.

On Sunday, April 22, Kim was caught on camera talking with host Andy Cohen after the taping of the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion episode. She was visibly upset about how she was treated and felt like she was targeted by the cast and “combative” host. “That b—- knows I’m not racist,” she said, referring to her co-star NeNe “NeNe knows I’m not racist. You know why you have not found another white woman to [join the cast]? Because nobody is dumb enough to do that! Put yourself in my shoes — five African-American women — just hammered! I couldn’t even speak, my mind’s a f–king whirlwind!”

She issued an apology and blamed the network for editing her comments out of context. “Racism is a sad reality in the United States. It has been prevalent throughout our country’s history. Let me be very clear, I do NOT support, tolerate or put up with any form of racism, hate or other discrimination,” she wrote. “I was heartbroken when I watched the last few minutes of the episode and saw how my words were taken out of context. My comment that seemingly ‘racism didn’t exist 10 years ago’ was made as part of a larger, emotional 45-minute conversation about how, sadly, social media has become a hub for hate.”

She continued, “I truly pray that the people wishing horrible things on others, and on me, channel that energy into something positive. Our world would be a much better place if you do. I am committed to making this world a better place to live. I will continue to learn from, and be open to, ALL people.”

This is also not the first time Kim has been accused of racism. During Season 3 of the reality TV show, Kim was accused of treating her assistant Sweetie like a slave. “I never want to speak to NeNe again. My assistant Sweetie is so upset about the whole thing, she’s beside herself,” Kim told Life & Style at the time. “NeNe has problems.”

Along with Don’t Be Tardy‘s uncertain future, Kim was also asked not to return to RHOA. “Kim and Bravo agreed she wouldn’t come back,” a source explained. “None of the girls will film with her. They refuse.”
