"Just recently I had five days off and I take a lot of surfing trips all over the world. I usually plan out where I want to go, but I didn’t know I was going to have a few days off because something kind of fell apart with our schedule. I had never been to Costa Rica, and I had always heard about the great surf, so I just picked a spot around 1 a.m. and just kind of went and camped out. I think that’s pretty spontaneous. Five hours later, I was back on a plane."

"I’ve only had one celebrity crush ever and that was Shania Twain. You know what though? I dropped the ball…Years ago, right after the divorce happened, I was at the CMAs and she walks over by me…and I’m like 'this is my moment!' She comes and stands right beside me, leans up against the wall and she says, 'How are you doing?' I still to this day do not know what language came out of my mouth. It was one of those things where I remember that noise came out of my mouth, but it was weird and combobulated like Swahili. And I still have no idea what I said, I just remember the look on her face…I completely dropped the ball with Shania. It could’ve been me after Mutt." Not being in relationships, traveling by yourself you figure out who you are."
