Kristen Stewart wants to know why President Donald Trump was so "obsessed" with her!
The actress finally addressed the president’s 2012 tweets about her relationship with then-boyfriend and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson — in which he compared her to a "dog" — while promoting her new film at Sundance.
“He was mad at me a couple of years ago — really obsessed with me a couple of years ago — which is f–king crazy,” she told Variety. “What? I literally cannot understand it.”
During a press event for her new short film Come Swim — which also marks her directorial debut — the 26-year-old recalled the comments Donald made five years ago about reports that claimed she had cheated on Robert with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders — who was married at the time to model Liberty Ross.
In a series of tweets, he said that the former Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire star should not forgive Kristen for cheating on him “like a dog.” In another tweet, he suggested that the 30-year-old should leave Kristen and date one of the Miss Universe contestants instead.
“At that point, he was just [a] reality star, like I had no reference,” Kristen said about her reaction at the time. “I didn’t, it really wasn’t a thing, but in retrospect, somebody reminded me of that and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re right!’”
“That was a couple of years ago but, ‘Hey buddy, what’s up?’” she continued with a smirk. “He’s probably gonna tweet about this.”
Kristen and Robert first sparked dating rumors shortly after they met on the set of Twilight in 2008, and they went public with their relationship two years later. The former couple dated for four years until Kristen’s 2012 cheating scandal. But since then, the exes have been cordial and they even reunited at the 2016 Met Gala.
