Vintage Queen! Kylie Jenner Rocks a 1994 Chanel Bikini Worn by Naomi Campbell on the Runway
When it comes to rocking vintage high-fashion, the Kardashians pretty much rule the roost. Case in point: During Kylie Jenner’s epic girls’ trip to Turks and Caicos, the 21-year-old makeup mogul wore a turquoise bikini from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 1994 ready-to-wear collection. The best part? It’s the very same swimsuit Miss Naomi Campbell donned on the French runway in 1993.
Unsurprisingly, Kylie’s friends, family and fans were absolutely L-O-V-I-N-G the legendary look. “Wow,” commented Scott Disick’s ladylove, Sofia Richie, while Vanessa Hudgens added, “Ooh, girl, obsessed with these pics.” Ummm, yeah, we’re pretty freakin’ obsessed, too. In addition to the amazing suit, plenty of people couldn’t help but comment on Kylie’s killer figure. “That body is a blessing, girl,” one user gushed. “OMG! Flawless,” echoed a second.
As it happens, this is hardly the first time that one of the Kar-Jenners has drawn fashion inspiration from Naomi, 49. In fact, Kylie’s big sister Kim Kardashian received a lot of backlash in March for “copying” the top model’s looks. “When you gonna credit Naomi, sis?” one person wrote on social media at the time. “Maybe you should finally acknowledge Naomi,” another chimed in.
Considering imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, we would hope that Naomi is A-OK with the famous family emulating her style. To be fair, though, nobody (and we mean *nobody*) will ever rock haute couture better than she did … and continues to do!
As for getting your hands on a vintage Chanel bikini? Well, you better believe it’s not cheap! Kylie’s suit reportedly costs … wait for it … $1,690. Instead of dropping all that cash on one piece, why not invest in Sofia’s new Frankies Bikinis collection? After all, nothing is better than looking cute and saving your money for cocktails at the beach! Can we get an amen?
