Kylie Jenner Finally Announces Her Secret Project, and Surprise! It’s a Skincare Line
If you were betting on “skincare line” for what Kylie Jenner‘s secret project is, it’s time to collect your money. On May 10, after literal months of teasing, Kylie finally took to Instagram to reveal what she’s been working on behind the scenes: Kylie Skin! It looks like those guesses of a new baby, reality show, and clothing line were wrong after all.
“KYLIE F*CKING SKIN!” she wrote on a stunning, makeup-less promotional photo on her Insta page. “Wow. Skincare and makeup go hand in hand and Kylie Skin was something I dreamt up soon after Kylie Cosmetics. I’ve been working on this for what feels like a lifetime, so I can’t believe I’m finally announcing!” Kylie actually trademarked the name Kylie Skin in October 2018, so it’s certainly been a long time coming.
So what do we know about the products? So far, Kylie has announced that they’re all “cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, paraben and sulfate free and suitable for all skin types.” Unfortunately, she hasn’t discussed the price point of her line, so that’s a big question for fans. The official launch date for the “amazing products” (which have yet to be announced) is May 22, so her followers don’t have to wait long to try them out. If her friends’ testimonials are anything to go by, they’re going to be dope!
“Can’t wait for everyone to try these bomb products!!!!!😍😍😍,” said Kylie’s bestie Anastasia Karanikolaou. Hailey Baldwin was equally supportive, writing, “Yes ma’am 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼.” Her fans are also super stoked, commenting things like “I just don’t understand why you insist on taking all of my money,” and “OH MY GOD, YES!”
Luckily, Kylie learned a lot about creating a business from her Kylie Cosmetics company, and it sounds like those skills definitely came in handy when it came to Kylie Skin. “Building my makeup line from the ground up has taught me a lot and I’m so blessed with that knowledge to apply to my brand new company!” she continued. “Birthing a whole new team, manufacturing, fulfillment etc. separate from my cosmetics line was challenging but here we are! I got the best of the best for you guys!” We can’t wait to try them all!
