When Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom officially finalized their divorce in December 2016, fans of the reality star couple had a hard time accepting it was really over. But according to the former basketball star, the duo still talks — despite the fact that the blonde beauty has gotten serious with boyfriend Tristan Thompson.

“I just texted her yesterday,” Lamar told Life & Style at an Aug. 19 event. “I don’t think she hates me, even though she has every reason to. I definitely don’t hate her.” In fact, the 37-year-old doesn’t have any negative feelings towards his ex-wife’s family.

“I don’t think I was exploited by the Kardashians. I would absolutely do another reality show,” he shared. “With them I got to see things in a totally different light. I learned how to deal with people and live spontaneously.”

But Lamar’s 19-year-old daughter Destiny has a very different opinion. In June, the teen slammed Khloé’s “toxic” relationship with her father. “Things changed when my dad married Khloé. Things were a lot more public,” she explained. “When your dad’s an NBA player, that’s already enough, but when he’s marrying a reality TV star, things are so public and you don’t have a private life anymore.”

She added, “I wouldn’t say it was a matter of my dad loving Khloé more than me. I think that my dad has an addictive personality, so he was addicted to the attention he got with Khloé more than me. There were regular snide comments at school. And when his addiction became public, then it became a social media thing. Even people that I thought were my friends were saying stuff on social media. It was humiliating.”
