Lip Reader Reveals What Blue Origin Passengers Said After Landing Back on Earth From 11-Minute Flight
History was made when a star-studded crew of six women boarded Blue Origin Flight NS-31 on April 14 and flew to the edge of space for the first time since 1963. As high-profile passengers such as Lauren Sánchez and pop star Katy Perry walked out of the rocket, a lip reader exclusively tells Life & Style their intimate first words upon landing back on Earth.
Lauren, 55, looked emotional as she made a beeline toward her billionaire fiancée, Jeff Bezos, immediately asking, “Where are my babies?” lipreader Nicola Hicking explains on behalf of Prime Casino on Tuesday, April 15.
The tech founder, 61, was seen pointing and giving Lauren directions before he seemingly told her, “You need to go over there.”
The “Dark Horse” singer, 40, was spotted kissing a daisy, which was a nod to her 4-year-old daughter, Daisy, whom she shares with her partner, Orlando Bloom. “That was incredible,” Katy said as she kissed the ground beneath her, according to Nicola.
Overall, it was a lighting environment as aerospace engineer Aisha Bowe was all smiles, exclaiming an “Oh yes!” into the air.
Meanwhile, bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen was claimed to be saying, “Hoorah,” before running off the screen.
CBS News personality Gayle King and filmmaker Kerianne Flynn rounded out the historical all-women crew that took off from Blue Origin’s launch site in Van Horn, Texas. Liftoff took place at 9:30 a.m. ET and the roughly 11-minute flight drew an A-list crowd including Kris Jenner and Khloé Kardashian.

The group of women traveled to the Kármán line — the spot separating Earth’s atmosphere and space — 62 miles above the planet.
Katy had previously teased that she planned to sing a song while she and her crewmates were in space, and she delivered on that promise with a beautiful rendition of “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong.
The “California Girls” artist rated her space experience 10 out of 10, describing the feeling only second to becoming a mother. “I feel super connected to love,” she told NBC after the trip. She also touched on the daisy she brought with her to space, explaining, “Daisies are common flowers, but they grow through any condition. They are resilient. They are powerful. They are strong.”
Lauren was one of the people who “brought the mission together” and organized the historical trip, according to Blue Origin’s website. “She is honored to lead a team of explorers on a mission that will challenge their perspectives of Earth, empower them to share their own stories, and create lasting impact that will inspire generations to come,” according to a statement from Blue Origin obtained by CNN.
Jeff supported his fiancée all the way to the end, giving her a personal escort into the capsule 20 minutes before takeoff. “Most amazing, most profound experience. I’m so excited for you, I don’t wanna get off. I wanna go with you,” he told her before the flight. “When you get back, I can’t wait to hear how it’s changed you. I love all of you. God speed.”
