New Jersey Man Arrested After Being Accused of Forcing Teen Girl to Cut Herself on a Livestream
New Jersey man Marek Cherkaoui has been accused of forcing a 13-year-old girl to cut herself several times on a livestream.
Cherkaoui, 21, was arrested at his home in Egg Harbor Township on November 14 and is currently being held in federal custody, according to the United States Attorney’s Office District of New Jersey.
He made his initial appearance in the District of New Jersey court on the same day as his arrest. He is facing cyberstalking charges for the alleged crime.
The charges stem from two incidents that allegedly involved Cherkaoui urging a 13-year-old girl to cut herself multiple times by threatening to dox her.

A criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey stated that the young girl blocked Cherkaoui after she cut herself the first time, according to People. She later posted that she cut herself because she worried her parents would be angry if she was doxed and strangers showed up to their house.
Following the first incident, Cherkaoui managed to contact the girl a second time and ordered her to cut herself again or be doxed. “YOU NEED TО DO IT AGAIN. THIS TIME DO IT LIVE ON CAMERA,” he allegedly wrote in a followup text to her, per the outlet.
The complaint went on to state that the girl clicked on a link that brought her to Cherkaoui’s channel, where she proceeded to cut herself on camera.
After she cut herself a second time, the girl told investigators that she closed all of her accounts so that Cherkaoui could no longer contact her.
However, that complaint stated that Cherkaoui retaliated and allegedly doxed her by publishing her family members’ names, as well as the addresses for her home and school.
According to the the United States Attorney’s Office District of New Jersey, Cherkaoui has a history of “making online comments espousing ideology related to the NVE network known as 764. Cherkaoui has expressed support for mass shooters, solicited child sex abuse materials from minors and encouraged other individuals to harm themselves and others.”

Additionally, Cherkaoui previously bought books that shared information on how to build “explosives, body armor, zip ties, a trench coat, ski masks and tactical gear.” His home was previously searched by law enforcement in June 2025, with many of the listed items being found on his property.
FBI agents also searched his home on November 14, where they found writings in which he discussed plans for murder and terrorist acts.
If Cherkaoui is found guilty of cyberstalking a minor victim, he could face a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, be ordered to pay up to a $250,000 fine and could be sentenced to three years of supervised release.
