Royal-to-be Meghan Markle has always been a fan of exercise — so we’re sure she has a plan for getting in shape before her upcoming wedding to Prince Harry! In a previous interview with Us Weekly, the 36-year-old opened up about her passion for working out.
“There was an old episode of The Cosby Show where Clair Huxtable was trying to lose weight to fit into a dress,” she once told the outlet. “Debbie Allen is her trainer, and she literally says, ‘You’ve got to burn it to earn it. You’ve got to sweat it to get it!’ It’s the cheesiest thing in the world, I know, but if I’m on the treadmill thinking I don’t want to be there, I just go, ‘Think of Clair Huxtable — you’ve got to burn it to earn it!’”
We can only assume Meghan still follows that mindset as she prepares to walk down the aisle. The former actress explained to the publication why she loves fitness. “It’s sort of my thing — as much for my head as my body,” she shared. Perhaps that’s why she’s turned to pilates. “[It’s] hands down the best thing you could do for your body,” Meghan said of the technique. “Your body changes immediately.”
And with every strict workout regimen comes a consistent beauty routine as well. Meghan previously revealed she makes her “skin glow” with brands including Jan Marini, Laura Mercier, Origins, and Kate Somerville.
But Harry doesn’t care about any of this — he loves his bride just the way she is! “Coming into this, Meghan was somewhat worried about losing her identity,” a friend admitted. “But Harry had always assured her that this would never be the case, that she should be true to her authentic self at all times.”
