Former Spice Girl Mel B and her soon-to-be ex-husband Stephen Belafonte have had a very tumultuous relationship and it’s only gotten worse since their split. On Friday, June 15, Mel B was granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged hubby after he allegedly got physically violent with her.

Stephen is not allowed to go within 100 yards away from the America’s Got Talent judge and he’s not allowed to record any conversations between him and Mel until they have to meet again in court next month, according to The Blast. Mel asked for Stephen to stay away from her daughters, 19-year-old Phoenix, 11-year-old Iris, and six-year-old Madison but the judge did not grant that, at least until their hearing.

Mel filed the restraining over after an alleged incident between her and Stephen back in May. Mel called the police to their home and said Stephen “immediately became irate and would not back down from the police. His aggression became so hostile and so severe that the police handcuffed him.” She said the incident made her “concerned that Stephen’s anger and aggression is so uncontrollable that he cannot even control himself in front of our daughter.”

Last year, Mel filed for divorce from Stephen after 10 years of marriage and she cited “irrconciable differences” as the reasonbut the couple has been split since December 2016. But in the year since the filing, so many details about their split have come to light and Mel even accused Stephen of having an affair with their nanny Lorraine Gilles.

But Lorraine filed a lawsuit against Mel for defamation. She claimed that she engaged in consesual sex with both Mel and Stephen since she moved from Germany to LA as an exchange student nearly seven years ago, and the couple have been known to have an open relatioship and they allegedly had regular threesomes.
