Miranda Lambert & Blake Shelton Divorce: Jealousy, Cheating Allegations and More!
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s divorce came as a surprise to many, but according to sources the pair’s romance has been rocky for quite some time.
As Life & Style reported two years ago, it had been alleged that Blake was carrying on an inappropriate relationship with up-and-coming singer Cady Groves [pictured below], now 25, back in 2011 — and it’s something that has always stuck with Miranda.
“Since the Cady scandal, they’ve done a lot to work on their relationship,” an insider told the mag at the time. “But Miranda knows she can’t change Blake. Being a flirt is in his DNA.”
Not only that, but jealousy played a major factor in their relationship.
“They get jealous of who the other is spending time with,” the source said of The Voice coach and songstress.

On Monday, Blake, 39, and Miranda, 31, confirmed they’re partying ways in a statement.
“This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately,” they said.
“We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”

The country music couple dated for five years before tying the knot in 2011. Blake was previously married to Kaynette Gern. They divorced in 2006 — one year after he met Miranda at CMT’s 100 Greatest Duets Concert in 2005.
“I knew he was married,” she said in an interview with Hoda Kotb on Dateline a few months after saying “I do.” “I had seen their wedding picture in Country Weekly. I knew better, like, this is off limits. My parents are private investigators for God’s sake. I’ve seen this my whole life – affairs. Of all people to know better, I know better than this.”
