Get well soon, Nick Cannon!

The 36-year-old actor took to Instagram on Thursday, Dec. 22 to share that he has sadly been hospitalized ahead of the holidays for complications related to his autoimmune disease.

“For all who have been trying to contact me the last few days this is where I’ve been. And I will be in the Hospital through Christmas,” Nick captioned a photo of himself in the hospital bed hooked up to an IV. “All good though, doctors say I will be back to normal before the New Year #LupusSucks.” Nick was first diagnosed with Lupus in 2012, and will unfortunately battle it for the rest of his life.

This sad news means the America’s Got Talent host won’t get to spend Christmas with his adorable twins, Moroccan and Monroe, both 5, who he often hangs out with. Just last week, he posted a fun photo of them [playing in their very own candy room].

Nick has to get better very soon considering he will shortly be a dad-of-three! “I’ve got a baby on the way,” he confirmed in November. The actor is expecting a little one with his ex Brittany Bell.

And that’s not the only big news the Drumline star has received in 2016! He and his ex-wife, Mariah Carey, finalized their divorce just days before her highly-publicized split from her billionaire fiancé, James Packer. Nick and Mariah previously tied the knot in April 2008 and welcomed Roc and Roe in April 2011.

Mariah recently opened up about her and Nick’s unexpected 2014 breakup. “I never thought I would have babies with someone and then get divorced. Like, ‘Oh, great job. Repeat your past,'” the 46-year-old singer said. “But life happens. And it was supposed to happen. It’s fine. For [my kids], I wish it hadn’t happened that way. For me, it was… too much, too little, too late. Guess it’s over. Call it a day.”
