Pauly D’s Baby Mama Amanda Markert Was Once Arrested for Assaulting Another Baby Daddy
The stars of Jersey Shore have a ton to discuss in the MTV revival Jersey Shore Family Vacation. Pauly D, for example, has had a climactic few years, becoming the father of a daughter named Amabella. Unlike co-star Ronnie Magro, though, who just welcomed a baby girl on April 3 with girlfriend Jen Harley, Pauly D’s baby momma is not about keeping the peace — far from it!
In fact, he and Amanda Markert have fought a brutal custody battle over their four-year-old girl. But it sounds like another baby daddy of hers fared even worse than he did…
Amanda was once arrested for assault
According to TMZ, Amanda was arrested in July 2009 for assaulting baby daddy Lance Gerbino (who’s presumably the father of Amanda’s son, Mikey). Lance told the site she had been out drinking with friends and was upset she had to come home to take care of their infant. When she returned home, she started “going crazy,” he said. She later turned herself into the cops, and her assault charge was dropped after she completed an anger management course.
She’s a former Hooters waitress
Heavy reports Amanda graduated from New Jersey’s Absegami High School and studied at Richard Stockton College and Atlantic Cape Community College, taking an interest in forensic psychology. She has paid the bills as a waitress, working at a Hooters location and doing bottle service Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, the same place Pauly once had a residency. But that’s not where they met…
Amanda was one of Pauly’s many one-night-stands
As we saw on the original Jersey Shore, Pauly D and his bros were always looking for “DTF” girls at the club, and it seems like Amanda fit the bill. Hollywood Life reports she and Pauly had a one night stand in Las Vegas after meeting her at one of his DJing gigs. (Hey, we’re not judging!)
Pauly thought she was using their daughter for fame
“I want to give the baby the best life she ever had,” Pauly told a TMZ reporter in 2013, joking that “DTF” had become “diapers, tantrums, and formula.” But he also said he was going pursue custody — especially because he thought Amanda was “100 percent” using their baby for fame. “That’s what happens,” he added. “What are you going to do?”
Pauly reportedly wanted Amanda to get an abortion
In 2013, TMZ reported Amanda was trying to sell text messages proving Pauly asked her to get an abortion and offered to pay her medical expenses. The Jersey Shore star thought that was the best solution at the time, the site claimed, but had since come to embrace fatherhood. And sources close to him said Amanda took his money but kept the pregnancy anyway. All’s well that ends well?
