Prince Carl Philip’s Speech to Sofia Hellqvist On Their Wedding Day Will Melt Your Heart — Plus See the Pics From the Ceremony!
He is a handsome Scandinavian Prince and she is a tattooed former glamour model. But as they tied the knot in a lavish ceremony on Saturday in Stockholm, Sofia Hellqvist and Prince Carl Philip looked like they were a perfect fit.
The new Princess, 30, stunned in her long-sleeved lace gown and delicate tiara, while her new husband looked dapper in a gold-trimmed blue military uniform.
After the ceremony at the Royal Palace chapel, the couple joined 300 guests for celebrations, which were topped off by a serious tear-jerker of a speech from the 36-year-old Prince Carl himself.
“Today I am the happiest man in the world,” he said to his new wife. “Sofia, you fill my life with love and happiness. With your love I will be able to overcome all challenges. Dear Sofia, I love you.”
As for the bride, she wrote emotional lyrics to a song that was performed by Molly Sanden for the Prince. Needless to say there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
