Prince George And Princess Charlotte’s Family Christmas Traditions Will Make You Feel Extra Festive

It’s officially December, which means we’re feeling extra festive. As it turns out, everyone is getting the holiday feels, including Kate Middleton, Prince William, and the rest of the royal fam. Specifically, Prince George and Princess Charlotte‘s maternal grandmother, Carole Middleton, has some extra fun traditions she does with the grandkids.

She recently spoke to The Telegraph where she gushed about loving Christmas trees and having as many as she could throughout her home. This includes one in each of her grandchildren’s rooms “so that they can decorate it themselves.” That is too cute. It’s easy to picture George and Charlotte trimming the tree with tinsel and family ornaments.

Kate’s mom jokingly added, “That makes it sound as though I live in a mansion, doesn’t it?” Considering she resides in a seven-bedroom home that is perched on 18 acres with a swimming pool and a tennis court, her joke wasn’t too far off. We are pretty sure you live in a mansion, Carole.

As far as holiday plans, it looks like Kate and William will be spending it with the Queen at Sandringham, according to Radar.  “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will spend Christmas with the Royal Family in Norfolk,” a royal source told The Sun. “Harry and Meghan will be there with the Queen and Prince Philip.” Despite some drama between Kate and her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, it looks like they’ll all be in attendance together for a lovely (and possibly tense) Christmas.

Besides an awkward holiday, Meghan and Prince Harry will be getting a little distance from the royal family. Kensington Palace released a statement announcing that the two were moving. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will move to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate early next year as they prepare for the arrival of their first child,” the statement said. “The couple have lived at Nottingham Cottage since their engagement last year. Windsor is a very special place for Their Royal Highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate. The Duke and Duchess’s office will continue to be based at Kensington Palace.”

Hopefully, in this case, distance makes the heart grow fonder. At the very least, we know George and Charlotte are going to have a great holiday with grandma!
