Priyanka Chopra Says She and Husband Nick Jonas ‘Really Connected’ Over Philanthropy
On the same page! Priyanka Chopra and her husband, Nick Jonas, have quite a bit in common, including their passion for promoting good causes.
“He has his own philanthropic alignments, so he has always been philanthropic. In fact, that’s something that we really connected on initially with his foundation, Beyond Type 1, and all the other work that he does,” the longtime actress, 37, told Life & Style exclusively at UNICEF’s Snowflake Ball. “Just being able to have that is really important and we always obviously talk about the work that we do when it comes to our philanthropic inclinations.”
Priyanka went on to express how her important work with UNICEF (The United Nations Children’s Fund) has changed her as an individual. “I know that it’s making me a kinder person,” the Quantico alum admitted. “All these years of working with these incredible children, who under the most difficult circumstances still manage to smile at you, it teaches me every single day to be so grateful for every single thing that I have in my life.”
One of the latest additions to Priyanka and Nick’s blessed life together is a dog named Gino. On November 26, the “Sucker” singer, 27, took to Instagram to share the sweetest new video of the pair’s furbaby. “Pri came home with the absolute best surprise this morning,” Nick wrote. “Please meet our new pup, Gino the German. I haven’t stopped smiling since I woke up this morning and finally realized what was going on.”
Naturally, Nick’s followers couldn’t get enough of the precious moment. “OMG! This is actually the most adorable thing ever. What an awesome wife. Gino is adorable,” one user gushed. “My heart can’t handle the cuteness overload! Congratulations, you two,” added another.
While there’s never a wrong occasion to get a dog, Priyanka brought home Gino to celebrate the couple’s one-year wedding anniversary on December 1. We can’t believe it’s been over 365 since Nick and Priyanka’s breathtaking nuptials!
