And baby makes three! Congrats are in order for Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore and her husband Marc Daly. Kenya, 47, gave birth on to her first child on Sunday, Nov. 4, Us Weekly reported. Kenya and Marc welcomed a daughter and they named their baby girl Brooklyn Doris Daly.

Little Brooklyn’s name holds a lot of meaning, and the couple explained how they chose their daughter’s name in an interview with People. “Brooklyn because that’s where we met and fell in love, and Doris after my grandmother who passed away last year and who raised me,” Kenya explained.

Mommy and baby are doing well, which is great news considering Kenya experienced complications during her pregnancy. The Bravolebrity — who conceived little Brooklyn via in vitro — gave birth during an emergency C-section after suffering from preeclampsia for the past week.

Preeclampsia is a fairly common condition in pregnant women that is usually caused by high blood pressure, and it also causes damages to the organ system — most commonly the liver and kidneys, according to Mayo Clinic. Preeclampsia usually started to affect women after 20 weeks of pregnancy, and women usually have normal blood pressure levels before developing symptoms of preeclampsia, which include: excess protein in  urine or additional signs of kidney problems, severe headaches, changes in vision, including temporary loss of vision, blurred vision or light sensitivity, and shortness of breath, caused by fluid in the lungs.

I made fun of my swollen feet at @cynthiabailey10 party. Next day my tests came back for possible preeclampsia… I gained 17 lbs in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine. This is NOT normal! I took more tests. Baby is fine but if they come back higher #babydaly will have to come same day. Staying positive. To my pregnant sisters please go to your visits and tell the doctor of any drastic changes. Thank God I have great doctors.🙏🏾 #babydaly #highrisk #love #family #miraclebaby #kenyamoore #babybump #pregnantover40

For Kenya, she thought she was just experienced normal swelling in her feet but she later received her test results and learned that the swelling was due to preeclampsia.

“I gained 17 [pounds] in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine. This is NOT normal!” Kenya wrote in her pregnancy update on Instagram, and she shared her story as a cautionary tale for other pregnant women. “To my pregnant sisters please go to your visits and tell the doctor of any drastic changes,” she urged.
