She was right! Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub is in the middle of a nasty divorce from her estranged husband Marty Caffrey — which was predicted by her co-star Margaret Josephs during an on-camera confessional earlier this season. Now, Margaret exclusively revealed to Life & Style that she actually gave Danielle some pretty good advice before she walked down the aisle.

“I discussed it with her. I definitely discussed it with her,” the 51-year-old NJ native told us. “It’s not about warning her, it’s just that we all saw some signs and I just said to her if you’re not totally happy, if someone isn’t totally happy they shouldn’t go through with someone. I said that to her, if you’re not completely happy then don’t go through with it.”

Being that Margaret was Danielle’s Maid of Honor, you’d think the conversation wouldn’t have fallen on deaf ears, but the 56-year-old hasn’t exactly proven herself to be the most cautious when making relationship decisions in the past. Remember when RHONJ OG Teresa Giudice infamously called her out during Season 1 for having been “engaged 19 times?” Case in point, Danielle’s relationship judgment might be slightly skewed.

Back in September, Marty filed for divorce from Danielle after only four months of marriage. Just after the new year, Marty had to be escorted from the estranged couple’s home after Danielle was able to procure a temporary restraining order against him. Following that incident, it was reported that Marty filed a restraining order against Danielle in turn.

There have been several allegations about both Danielle and Marty’s conduct during the short-lived marriage, but Marty recently spoke with In Touch exclusively and denied the claims made by Danielle during their divorce proceedings.

It seems to us like Danielle may have done well to heed her friend Margaret’s advice next time — besides, you don’t make a girl your maid of honor for nothing, right?
