Countess Luann de Lesseps has been involved in quite a few major legal incidents over the past year or so, but it looks like she’s mostly come out on top of it all. Plus, she’s really taken the holiday spirit in stride, as she debuted her brand new Holiday Cabaret show at the Gramercy Theatre on Dec. 20 before she heads out on a national tour. On the heels of her incredible performance, the Real Housewives of New York star spoke with Life & Style exclusively about how she plans on spending her upcoming holiday.

When Life & Style asked about her Christmas plans, Luann explained she was gonna take it easy. “I’m looking forward to some downtime, I’ve been filming and I’m doing five shows in a row this week and then I’m going to take 10 days off to go to California,” the 53-year-old told Life & Style about her busy schedule.

“My kids are in Switzerland with their father. They usually go to Switzerland, so I’m going to see my niece out in California and just chill out,” Luann said, also revealing how the rest of her family will be spending the holidays as well.

Luann and her kids spending the holiday apart seems more like a tradition and less like the result of a recent lawsuit between the RHONY star and her kids and their father, ex-husband Alexandre de Lesseps. The suit allegedly concerned the fact that she was supposed to set up a trust for her kids when she sold her home in Sag Harbor. Though she was absent from the Season 10 reunion this year, she did offer Andy Cohen an update on the situation between her and her children on Watch What Happens Live.

“Everything is great with the kids,” she told Andy just days after the reunion aired. “It was a big hiccup about me wanting to get a house upstate and not being in the Hamptons so I decided to keep the Hamptons home. And I’m getting a house upstate in any case. So it all worked out and the kids are great.”

Let’s just hope, despite going their separate ways for the holidays, that everything is all good with Luann and her fam.
