She’s going to be a mom! Real Housewives of Potomac star Ashley Darby is pregnant with her first child, with her husband, Michael Darby, 59.

The 30-year-old Bravo star took to Instagram on February 5 to let the world in on the news. “Very excited to share this special news with you my loves,” she captioned a sweet video announcement post. “Michael and I are thrilled to welcome a bundle of joy into our lives. The most incredible gift imaginable! Love and light to you.”

The pregnancy comes after some marital struggles for the couple, so it just goes to show that the good does come with the bad. The couple briefly separated between seasons 2 and 3 of the series, as they battled it out over issues with the management of their restaurant, Oz. The duo spent the last season fighting over whether or not they wanted to have kids. When they finally did decide to expand their family, the pregnancy sadly resulted in a miscarriage.

“It was such a traumatic experience,” the Real Housewives star told PEOPLE at the time. “At the time, I didn’t fully understand the magnitude of how it would affect us as a couple and as individuals because we kind of thought it would be a given that we would just be able to have children. But it was challenging.”

But now, the couple has hit a beautiful stroke of luck and we couldn’t be happier for them. After marrying in May 2014 and dating for two years before that, these two truly deserve this little miracle after all this time.

“I’m so excited,” Ashley said about the news. “When I used to hear people talk about having a child and the miracle of life inside you, I know that sounds great, but then to actually experience it? It’s the most all-encompassing feeling ever. I never imagined I’d feel this much love … it’s the pinnacle.”
