Michigan Mom Battles Runaway 20-Foot Pumpkin in Viral Video That’s Pure Halloween Chaos

Ring camera footage has gone viral showing a Michigan mom struggling to control a runaway 20-foot inflatable pumpkin in her yard.

As seen in the video that is captioned, “The absolute chaos 😂😂😂 I hope you have a good laugh 😂😂😂,” Katie Morgan fights to gain control of the giant decoration as a sudden burst of wind sweeps through her front lawn.

At one point, she frantically calls her husband, Chris, at work, asking, “What do I do?” before darting back outside to stop the enormous balloon from wrecking havoc on the neighborhood.

“I thought, ‘This thing is going to take down our entire neighborhood, the elderly — everyone,’” Morgan told TODAY.com. “That pumpkin is taller than our house.”

As the video unfolds, her two sons rush outside to help. First up is her 4-year-old son, Leopold, who runs out in his pajamas, eager to assist—until he hears his mom screaming and immediately leaves the scene.

Moments later, his older brother, 7-year-old Lennon, joins the rescue. Amid the shrieks, their father can be heard calmly instructing, “Unplug the pumpkin,” repeating the warning several times to little avail.

When Morgan finally gains control of the rogue Halloween decoration, Lennon has just one request, “Let me just take a picture of you,” he says to his exhausted mom.

“We definitely panicked,” Morgan laughs. “For a nanosecond, I actually lifted off. I looked at the kids and said, ‘If I take off into the sky, call Grandma!’”

The hilarious moment even featured on The Jimmy Fallon Show on October 31.

On her Instagram page she featured the video and captioned it, “We were on JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE last night for our VIRAL PUMPKIN VIDEO!!! This has been the most incredible ride.”

“Thank you all so much for making our pumpkin video go viral. I can’t believe how much joy our little family was able to bring to the world this week. That’s what it’s all about 🎃🎃🎃 Thanks for laughing with us, I seriously love you guys 🎃🎃🎃.”
