Ryan Seacrest Ready for Wedding and Baby With Girlfriend Shayna Taylor (EXCLUSIVE)
The busiest man in show business is about to get a lot busier! Ryan Seacrest, who hosts American Idol and Live With Kelly and Ryan, is ready to settle down with longtime girlfriend Shayna Taylor.
Sources reveal exclusively to Life & Style that Ryan, 42, wants to add "father" and "husband" to his extensive resume. "Ryan is ready to start a family,” an insider says. He is already shopping for an engagement ring so he can propose to his 26-year-old girlfriend. And then it's full steam ahead.
“He feels like he’s missing out on fatherhood,” adds the insider. “And he knows Shayna will be a great mom." Ryan and Shayna dated several years ago and broke up. However, they reconnected in 2016 and have been going strong for almost a year. The radio personality recently gushed about Shayna with his co-host Kelly Ripa and confirmed that the couple had moved in together.
“Shayna’s special,” Kelly said on the show. “She’s got it all." Ryan agreed, adding, "I know, it’s frustrating. Believe me. I go through this every morning looking at her hair.” He also explained why he has never popped the question — yet.
“I did get close and I didn’t do it and it was the right move. But I love the idea — and I know you’re going to ask me — of marriage because my parents have been married for 47 years, and so I have this thing — and you’ve been married 21," he said. "I figure the longer I wait, the older I’ll be, the closer to death I am, so I can get it in and not screw it up.”
And it looks like a proposal is just around the corner. “He wants to propose when his talk show is on hiatus, around the holidays,” the insider adds. “Ryan’s finally found someone who understands him and can handle him.”
