She’s focusing on herself! Selena Gomez recently left a rehab facility in New York City following her emotional breakdown in October, and now, she’s doing everything in her power to better her mental health — including hiring a full-time life coach, according to Radar.

“Selena has a life coach with her at all times now. It is not like a sober coach because Selena’s issues are much greater than just alcohol,” a source revealed to the outlet. The 26-year-old has been very open about her issues with anxiety and depression over the years, and has voluntarily gone to rehab several times to get better.

To prevent her from experiencing a relapse, her family and management “wanted someone to be there for her at all times,” added the insider. “Selena selected her life coach. She is doing well right now.”

Just a few days ago, the songtress was spotted hiking and looking happy. Though she’s not paying attention to the scale, she still likes to break a sweat and partake in physical activities. To help her deal with her mental health, “she is going to therapy, working with a psychiatrist, and is just trying to stay really active,” said the source.

We’re sure Selena will be OK. She’s strong-minded and always stays positive through all of her experiences. A little over a year ago, the “Back For You” singer underwent a kidney transplant as part of her fight with lupus, and referred to it as a “life or death” situation. Despite it being a super scary experience, Selena responded to the outcome with gratitude.

I’m very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn’t promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of. So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health. I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you. Until then I want to publicly thank my family and incredible team of doctors for everything they have done for me prior to and post-surgery. And finally, there aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis. Lupus continues to be very misunderstood but progress is being made.
