During season 1 of The White Lotus, Alexandra Daddario went topless for a sex scene as her Rachel Patton character began her honeymoon with husband Shane Patton, played by Jake Lacy. It was some of the last fun they had, as Shane became more and more obsessed about not getting the Pineapple Suite, the ultra-expensive room his mom booked for their trip at the White Lotus Maui.

During The White Lotus season 1, Steve Zahn‘s Mark Mossbacher worried about his enlarged testicles, which he showed to wife Nicole Mossbacher, played by Connie Britton.

“I remember when I got the script asking [White Lotus creator] Mike [White] if I was going to have to do full frontal. And he’s like, ‘No, it’s going to be a prosthetic,’” Steve told The Wrap in August 2021. “I did have to approve the prosthetic that they used. He showed it to me first. And I was like, ‘Yeah, that’ll do.’”

The actor didn’t even end up using one, as a double was used for the shot of his genitals.

“No, that was my body double,” he said. “I asked if I was going to have to wear it and [Mike] goes, ‘Well, it’s two hours in the makeup chair and we don’t see your face, so we don’t need you to.’”

Murray Bartlett and Lukas Gage

Murray Bartlett‘s hotel manager Armond managed to convince the White Lotus Maui staffer Dillon — played by Lukas Gage — to get naked and high on drugs with him in exchange for better hours during a season 1 episode. They were busted in a NSFW moment by a guest, which resulted in Armond’s eventual firing.

Theo James

The first episode of The White Lotus season 2 featured Theo James‘ Cameron Babcock changing out of his shorts and into swim trunks in front of his best friend’s wife Harper Spiller, played by Aubrey Plaza.

Fans had plenty of “was that real?” reactions after Theo’s manhood was shown, although the actor later revealed that he used a prosthetic in the scene.

“You go into these things, and you have a conversation with the director and the producers, and they go, ‘OK, for this, we’re going to use a prosthetic. We’re going to use something. And you say, ‘OK, that sounds good,’” the England native revealed during a December 2022 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

He added, “I said, ‘Honestly, I just don’t want it to be distracting. He needs to be a regular Joe, because the scene’s not about the pee-pee. It’s about power play and sex.’”

Simona Tabasco

Simona Tabasco‘s sex worker Lucia Greco went topless while getting together with Michael Imperioli‘s sex-addicted Hollywood power player Dominic Di Grasso during The White Lotus season 2.

Actors Adam Di Marco and Simona Tabasco stripped down for a sex scene between their characters Albie Di Grasso and Lucia Greco during The White Lotus season 2. Set in Italy, the theme of the season was sex, which Lucia also had with Albie’s dad Dominic Di Grasso.

While Dominic was aware Lucia was a sex worker, Albie wasn’t. She ended up scamming him out of money by the end of the father and son’s stay in Italy.

After an awkward moment in which wife Harper caught him pleasuring himself to porn, Will Sharpe‘s Ethan Spiller hit the shower afterward to cool down. In the process, the camera lingered just above his manhood in the memorable season 2 episode.

Now this season 2 scene really threw viewers for a loop. Tom Hollander‘s Quentin invited Jennifer Coolidge‘s Tanya McQuoid and her assistant, Portia, to join them on their Italian vacation with several of his gay male friends.

Quentin’s nephew, Jack — played by Leo Woodall — started a fling with Portia, played by Haley Lu Richardson. But things took a wild turn when Tanya woke up in the middle of the night and wandered into a room to find Jack and Quentin having sex. It then became abundantly clear to viewers Quentin and Jack were not who they seemed to be.

“Tanya witnessing it, it’s delicious and it makes you realize that he really has got a plan, and the writer really is going somewhere,” Tom told E! News about the scene in November 2022 after the episode aired. “He hasn’t lost his way with this story. It’s very, very confident.”

Patrick Schwarzenegger

Viewers got an eyeful of Patrick Schwarzenegger in the opening episode of The White Lotus season 3, as did his character Saxon Ratliff’s younger brother Lochlan Ratliff, played by Sam Nivola.

After questioning his little brother about his virginity and self-pleasuring habits while sharing a room at the White Lotus Thailand, Saxon got up naked from his bed and headed to the bathroom to give himself some sexual release to a porn video. Patrick bared his backside in the scene and almost went full frontal, as his manhood appeared in the shadow of a mirror’s reflection before his character closed the door.

Lochlan woke up to Saxon’s nude backside the following morning, which kicked off episode 2 and marked Patrick’s second nude scene of the season.

Aimlee Lou Wood

After a harrowing day of being held at gunpoint during a robbery at the White Lotus boutique, Aimee Lou Wood‘s Chelsea had a tender moment in bed with boyfriend Rick Hatchett, played by Walton Goggins, in episode 2 of season 3.

Even though Rick had been miserable and prickly during their stay, he tenderly pulled down Chelsea’s nightgown’s top while showing off a more caring side.

The actors used an intimacy coordinator for the scene. “We were like, ‘This is what we think should happen. This is why we think it’s important.’ Because we don’t see a lot of tenderness from Rick to Chelsea the rest of the time,” Aimee told Elle in February 2025. “So, we have to make sure that when they’re physical and intimate in that way, that you see the love. We don’t want it to be like a f–king gratuitous. We wanted it to be very tender,” she added about their sex scene.

Jason Isaacs

Jason Isaacs‘ Timothy Ratliff displayed his manhood during episode 4 of season 3, although it was later revealed by his costars that the actor wore a prosthetic penis.

After sleeping in late due to stress over an impending indictment and sneaking his wife Victoria Ratliff’s anti-anxiety medication, Timothy sat down to talk to his family. His bathrobe slipped open to show he was wearing nothing underneath. It took Timothy’s family’s reaction to let him know he was letting it all hang out.

Daughter Piper Ratliff — played by Sarah Catherine Hook — and Lochlan were mortified, while Saxon and Victoria — played by Parker Posey — found the moment hilarious.

“That wasn’t his real penis,” Sam told TV Insider about his television dad on March 11, 2025.

Sarah Catherine added, “It was a prosthetic.”

The two stars said Jason had a great time with his pretend penis on the day of filming the now-infamous scene.

“It was really funny. He was very excited to do it. I think he took pride in the prosthetic,” Sarah noted, while Sam said, “He’s like, ‘It’s my fake d–k scene today!’”

Carrie Coons‘ Laurie Duffy really let loose after a day and night of heavy drinking with her childhood pals Kate Bohr and Jaclyn Lemon, played by actresses Leslie Bibb and Michelle Monaghan.

The ladies asked their White Lotus Thailand health mentor Valentin — played by Arnas Fedaravicius — to show them a good time. He brought along two friends from his native Russia to a nightclub and the action between the six ended up back at the women’s White Lotus bungalow pool. After a lot of splashing and drinking, Carrie’s character tore off her swimsuit top and threw it towards the men, who cheered on her uninhibited moment.
