Tarek El Moussa Says He and Ex Christina Anstead Are ‘Working Hard’ on New Episodes of ‘Flip or Flop’
While Tarek El Moussa and Christina Anstead may no longer be an item, when it comes to business, they sure do work great together. The 38-year-old took to Instagram to reveal he and his ex-wife, 36, are currently working on new content for their show, Flip or Flop.
It all started when a fan commented on a post Tarek shared on Wednesday, January 1, revealing he spent New Year’s with his girlfriend, Heather Rae Young. The fan commented, “Happy New Year, all the best. Can’t wait until more episodes of Flip or Flop. Hope the kids had a fantastic Christmas.” Tarek replied, “We are working hard, and it was amazing. Thank you.”
Christina and Tarek split up three and a half years ago, and they’ve been starring on the HGTV series since it first aired in 2013. Luckily, they’ve always been able to keep things professional. Besides, the former couple have another reason big reason to continue getting along: their kids Taylor, 9, and Brayden, 4.
The father of two has one rule he lives by in terms of coparenting with Christina, and that’s prioritizing the children. “Really, there’s only one tip that people need to remember: The kids are first,” he exclusively told Life & Style in September. “Like, that’s it, you know? If you remember to always put the kids first the rest falls into place.”
Both reality stars have managed to do that. Most recently, Christina revealed the whole family got together to see Taylor at a school show, which obviously made her day. “Tay’s Christmas performance was sooo cute!” the blonde beauty captioned an IG post in December. “Glad my dad got to come too. We all sat together — my family and Tarek’s family. A couple people acknowledged how nice this is — I know there are a lot of divorced couples (including Tarek’s mom and dad) who do this too and it’s honestly easier for everyone. Plus, Taylor’s face lights up when she sees us all in the same row supporting her.” How sweet!
