America’s Next Top Model may have paved the way for Naomi Campbell‘s new show, The Face, but Naomi’s not giving credit to the series — or its creator, Tyra Banks.

“I came before Tyra,” the supermodel, 42, tells Life & Style. “I’ve not really watched [her show].”

And for those who believe Naomi used ANTM as a model for her own show, think again.

“I don’t like to compare anything that I do,” she adds. “This show is a completely different format.”

Though she’s on TV weekly nowadays, Naomi says she tries to live a low key life.

“Most people think they know me because they say, ‘We’ve seen your pictures here and there for years,’” she tells Life & Style. “But when I’m not working or anything, I try to live a private, quiet life.”
