Will Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner Have Kids? What He Just Said About Fatherhood

Timothée Chalamet is opening up about family life—but only just enough to tease fans. The 29-year-old actor, currently dating Kylie Jenner, admitted to Vogue that becoming a father is “on the radar,” though he stopped short of giving specifics.

“That could be on the radar,” Chalamet told the magazine in its December cover story, published November 6.

Chalamet, who is now an uncle to his sister Pauline Chalamet’s 14-month-old, also shared his thoughts on parenthood in general. He recounted watching a celebrity brag about not having kids and the freedom it afforded them, saying he and a friend turned to each other and thought, “‘Holy s***. Oh my God. Bleak.’”

While he acknowledged that some people are unable to have children, Chalamet described procreation as a core part of human existence.

He reflected on his friends hitting life milestones—“Zendaya is engaged. Anya [Taylor-Joy] is married”—and noted that these changes mark a “new stage of life” for him.

When it comes to his relationship with Jenner, however, Chalamet remains private.

“I don’t say that with any fear,” he said. “I just don’t have anything to say.”

Though tightlipped about his romance, Chalamet shared what love and family mean to him, reflecting on a school friend’s parents:

“I had a friend of mine in school—a girl named Grace—and her parents had the most beautiful, amazing marriage. This is not in context of being great, so this is a little tangential, but it showed me excellence can exist without it being arduous.”

“You don’t have to be selfish to be great, no,” he added. “And I know, because I’ve worked with directors who are incredible and who are incredibly present in their family life.”

Chalamet and Jenner have been dating since spring 2023, keeping their relationship largely private while still stepping out for major events. The couple made their red carpet debut in May at the 70th David Di Donatello Awards in Rome and attended the surprise world premiere of Marty Supreme in New York on October 6. They also cheered on the New York Yankees together on October 8, where Jenner sported a jacket referencing Chalamet’s upcoming film.
