"Tristan has been an amazing father to True," a source told Us Weekly in a new interview, adding that the NBA has "really stepped it up" when it comes to parenting his little girl.
Things have been up and down between Tristan and Khloé since videos of him being disloyal to the reality star surfaced just days before she gave birth to their first child. But despite everything that's happened, Tristan is doing all he can to be there for True. "He's really trying to be as active and present as he can, but Khloé tells him she's got all the help she needs from her family. Tristan is sorry for everything and never meant for any of this to happen," a source previously told In Touch.
However, Tristan's not loving the name True since it seemingly is a diss to him following his bad behavior. "Tristan's not too fond of the name True, but he's cool," an insider dished to In Touch. "He's not about to [fight] with Khloé over what to name their daughter. He's just really happy that Khloé and the baby are happy, healthy, and all smiles."
In fact, they're both in awe over True. "Tristan and Khloé both love [True] so much. Even though this bad thing is happening, they really are both in love with their child," a source told Life & Style.
When Tristan first met his little girl a few weeks ago, he couldn't have been gladder. "He was happy to see his daughter and was overjoyed," an insider told Life & Style after her birth. "She has his eyes and he couldn’t stop gushing over her."
Maybe now he'll finally publicly acknowledge her birth or share a photo of her!
