‘Total Divas’ Alum Eva Marie Went From All Red Everything to All Black Everything!
All red everything? Now that Season 7 of Total Divas is underway, fans definitely noticed the changes to the cast. Fan favorite Eva Marie has been a part of the show since its first season and viewers are definitely missing her now that she's been replaced. So what happened to Eva Marie and why is she not on Total Divas anymore?
Eva Marie — real name Natalie Marie Coyle — had a pretty complicated career in the WWE but her departure from the show was a slow process. It started in August 2016, after the 33-year-old was suspended from the WWE for 30 days because she violated their wellness policy — which played out on Season 6 of Total Divas, the E! reality TV series that gives fans an inside look into the real lives of some of the most famous pro female wrestlers. It was later revealed that Eva's wellness policy violation was because she filed late paperwork for her prescription for Adderall.
Even after her 30-day suspension was over, Eva symbolically dyed her hair from red to black —
which is something the WWE refused to let her do in the past because red hair was part of her wrestling persona — and she never returned to in-ring competition. On August 4, 2017, she took to Twitter to announce her departure from the company. "Today I'm saying a bittersweet goodbye to WWE. Thanks to the entire team, and YOU [sic], my fans, for these [four] years!" she wrote. Since she is no longer under contract with the WWE, she was also removed from Total Divas.
Since her departure, Eva has been keeping busy by focusing her attention on other business opportunities in movies and fashion! In September 2016, she launched her own online boutique, NEM Fashion and earlier this month, she launched her own denim line, Never End Denim. She also starred in her first film, Inconceivable, which was released earlier this year and she recently wrapped her second film, Action #1.
