Real Keeping Up With the Kardashians fans know that Kourtney Kardashian was a partier back in her heyday. While studying as a business major at the University of Arizona, the Poosh.com founder pledged to the sorority Alpha Phi.
The University of Arizona’s Beta Epsilon Chapter welcomed Kourtney, who graduated in 2002. Alpha Phi calls themselves “the Ivy [League] of Greek life” and their motto is “Alethia Orno Eteronis,” which translates to “truth, honor, forever.” While not much is known about Kourtney’s sorority experience, she has been pretty candid about her time in college in the years since her graduation.
“I failed two classes in college because I was too nervous to give speeches,” the former E! personality, who was a Spanish minor, told Us Weekly during a 2010 interview. She also revealed that while living in Arizona at school, she was “stung by a scorpion.”
In 2013, Kourtney and ex Scott Disick, with whom she shares kids Mason, Penelope and Reign, traveled back to her alma mater to film for KUWTK. Proving the parents could still live it up, they stopped by a local watering hole where Scott poured vodka shots from atop the bar’s overhead balcony.
In August 2021, Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to share a story about visiting her big sister at the University of Arizona — and how it affected her views on college life. “College years baby!!! University of Arizona single handedly stopped me from turning into a wild party girl,” the KKW Beauty founder captioned a throwback photo with Kourtney.
“I remember visiting Kourt on campus and being her designated driver. I hated all of the wild parties so much that I stayed home and never wanted to drink or party EVER,” Kim added. “So, thank you, U of A. I was never a student there, but you shaped my life more than you know.”
“I remember feeding you Jungle Juice and someone else driving — I won’t name names — and blasting ‘Ruff Ryders.’ (Maybe I was partying too hard to remember correctly. Anyone else who was there wanna chime in?” Kourtney replied via Instagram Story.
