Things are about to shake up at 9 MAG! VH1’s hit reality TV series Black Ink Crew: Chicago is officially set to return on December 4, and Life & Style has an exclusive first look at the upcoming season 6. Watch our exclusive sneak peek above.

“I don’t know when people gon’ learn they can’t come for me or 9 MAG,” shop owner Ryan Henry says in the clip.

The tattoo artist has worked hard to establish his shop’s clout in the Windy City, but it looks like he could lose it all when Charmaine opens her own new female-run shop after she was fired from 9 MAG. She partnered up with world-renowned British tattoo artist Jessica Simpson to start a shop that will employ Chicago natives with tattooing skills who have struggled and been through the system.

But a rival tattoo shop isn’t the only struggle Ryan is facing this season. After realizing he had been using his work at 9 MAG as an excuse to avoid coming to terms with the death of his sister, he decides to start therapy. He’ll also continue to build a relationship with his son while navigating his coparenting relationship with Rachel.

His friend, tattoo artist Phor, will also be putting his mental health first this season. Fans will watch as he opens up more about his experiences and uses his platform to raise awareness while also supporting Ryan through his own journey.

As for Don, he continues to remain focused on growing his acting career. But when his wife has a health scare, he’ll have to shift priorities and it may become a major distraction for him and his family.

Black Ink Crew: Chicago season 6 premieres on VH1 Wednesday, December 4 at 8 p.m ET.
