‘The White Lotus’ Cast Salaries: How Much Michelle Monaghan, Jason Isaacs and More Are Paid Per Episode
HBO’s hit dark comedy drama anthology series The White Lotus has featured an ensemble cast with a mix of veteran A-list actors like Jennifer Coolidge and newcomers like Sam Nivola in each of its three seasons thus far. While it’s typical for many TV stars to receive different salaries from their castmates based on experience and seniority, The White Lotus producer David Bernad and casting director Meredith Tucker revealed in an April 2025 interview with The Hollywood Reporter that things are done a little differently on their show.
How Much Do ‘The White Lotus’ Stars Get Paid?
Bernad and Tucker revealed in the interview that all White Lotus cast members get paid the same amount.
“Everyone is treated the same on The White Lotus,” Bernad said. “They get paid the same, and we do alphabetical billing, so you’re getting people who want to do the project for the right reasons, not to quote The Bachelor. It’s a system we developed in the first season because there was no money to make the show.”
Tucker added, “It makes it so much easier. You tell people this is what it is. And some won’t do it — and honestly, you can’t hold it against people who need to make a living. Our series regulars are pretty much doing this for scale.”
While the team behind The White Lotus did not confirm the salaries of the actors, multiple sources confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that they make about $40,000 per episode. Season 3 had eight episodes, which would come to a total salary of roughly $320,000 for each cast member.
‘The White Lotus’ Salaries Are ‘Not Negotiable’
Bernad added that the salary amount is “not negotiable.” Sources told THR that Woody Harrelson, who was reportedly considered for the role of season 3’s Rick Hatchett before Walton Goggins was cast, asked Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav directly if his salary could be negotiated. Though Woody was reportedly told that it couldn’t, he signed on for the role and later dropped out due to a scheduling conflict, according to the outlet.

Woody and his rep set the record straight on his exit from The White Lotus season 3 in a statement to The Daily Beast, with his rep stating to the outlet on April 4, 2025, that it was “never about the money.”
The actor added, “I was set to do White Lotus and very excited. Unfortunately, their production schedule shifted, and conflicted with a pre-planned family vacation, forcing me to make an extremely hard decision.”
Woody’s rep also clarified that, in addition to Rick, the Now You See Me star was considered to play Rick’s friend Frank and ultimately took on the role before he was recast, with Sam Rockwell stepping in as Frank instead.
“He was set to do the show and they moved the date. And because they moved to date, he was no longer available so they recast. That part was the Sam part,” his rep told the publication.
According to Woody, “Things must be meant to be, though, because I couldn’t have done as fantastic a job as Sam, who is killing it.”
