The penultimate episode of The White Lotus season 3 revealed the identity of the robbers who pulled off the hotel store jewelry heist. Life & Style breaks down who the thieves are and the characters who made the discoveries.
Who Robbed ‘The White Lotus’ Hotel Store?
While attending a local Muy Thai fight, security guard Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong) saw the White Lotus wellness mentor Valentin (Arnas Fedaravičius) with two friends, one of which he recognized as the man in the robbery’s black getaway van.
Gaitok had flashbacks to the robbery of how Valentin distracted him while the van sped onto the resort property while the security gate was up. The second robber was shown to be bald Vlad (Yuri Kolokolnikov), who confronted Gaitok on the way out.

That left Julian Kostov‘s Alexei as the masked man who robbed the boutique at gunpoint and made off with an expensive snake choker, watches and other high-end jewelry. He also pistol-whipped Gaitok during the getaway.

Alexei Is in Possession of the Stolen Property
Carrie Coon‘s Laurie decided to join Valentin, Alexei and Vlad at the fight after having an argument with her girlfriends over dinner. She and Alexei headed back to his place afterward for hot sex. Alexei then asked her for $10,000 so he could fly his ailing mom to Thailand, as he couldn’t go back to Russia because he overstayed his Visa and wouldn’t be allowed back in the country.
Fortunately, Alexei’s girlfriend interrupted his post-coital financial demands of Laurie, causing her to make a quick escape. She ran through his closet, where the stolen loot was sitting on a table. While Laurie wasn’t aware that the items were from the hotel robbery, they were easily recognizable to viewers, especially the snake necklace that Aimee Lou Wood‘s Chelsea was looking at when the robbery happened.
Tayme Thapthimthong Reveals His Character’s Feelings Over Identifying the Robbers
Tayme recalled the moment Gaitok realized Valentin’s pals were the thieves and that someone he looked up to was involved was “very shocking” during an interview with TODAY.com on March 30, 2025.
“When he goes to the fight, it’s obviously very shocking for him to put it together, because the tall Russian guy obviously has very distinct features, and he obviously remembers him from just before he was pistol-whipped,” the actor explained. “So just to see that he’s like, ‘Wait a minute, is it that guy?’ And then to see him next to Valentin … it’s just kind of like, ‘No, I think this guy’s so cool.'”

“And then (Valentin) was actually the friend that let them in — it’s all coming together,” he added. “But also, I think in his mind, it’s like, ‘Do I tell someone? Like, if I tell someone, what’s going to happen to him?'”
“Like, I thought you were a friend,” Tayme said of piecing together Valentin was involved. “We’ve trained Muay Thai together outside of work. You know, you seem like someone I would befriend for a long time, but I can’t believe you would actually let me get hurt like that and be OK with it, and then never say anything.”
Gaitok Doesn’t Know What to Do With the Knowledge That Valentin and His Friends Robbed the Hotel
Gaitook finally took Mook (Lisa Manobal) out on their first date ahead of the fight. He broke the news that he wasn’t getting a promotion to being a bodyguard as his boss thought he wasn’t tough enough mentally.
“He says I don’t have a killer instinct,” Gaitok told Mook about his conversation at the gun range with Pee Lek (Yothin Udomsanti). He confessed that he didn’t even want to fight the robbers since he doesn’t want to hurt anyone.
Tayme said those conversations had an affect on his character.
“Most of all, I think he is processing, like, ‘What do I do with this information now?'” Tayme told TODAY.com about Gaitok discovering the identity of the robbers. “Because he is obviously thinking as well, ‘If I do tell someone, maybe they’ll like me even more at work, and I’ll get a promotion, because I helped solve the case.'”
