‘White Lotus’ Star Aimee Lou Wood Feels ‘Better’ After ‘Saturday Night Live’ Joke About Her Teeth
Aimee Lou Wood wasn’t laughing.
The White Lotus star, 31, took to Instagram on April 13 after Saturday Night Live aired a parody of the hit Max series called “The White Potus” that poked fun at political figures like President Donald Trump and U.S. Secretary of Health Robert F. Kennedy Jr., while seemingly singling out her character, Chelsea.
“Fluoride? What’s that?” Sarah Sherman joked through a pair of oversize prosthetic teeth.
Aimee said she found the bit “mean” and “unfunny.”

“Such a shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple of weeks ago,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “Yes, take the piss for sure — that’s what the show is about — but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?”
The actress has previously spoken about the public’s fascination with her smile.
“The whole conversation is just about my teeth, and it makes me a bit sad because I’m not getting to talk about my work,” she told GQ.
Since speaking out about the SNL sketch, Aimee has received “apologies” from the NBC series, she revealed on her Instagram Story, as well as a “beautiful” bouquet of flowers from the actress, 32, who portrayed her on-screen.
That, along with all the support she’s gotten online, “has certainly made Aimee feel better,” a source exclusively tells Life & Style.
