TLC fans are familiar with Whitney Thore from her show My Big Fat Fabulous Life, but the 32-year-old’s brother Hunter, who occasionally appears alongside his sister on the series, still remains a bit of a mystery.

He’s an actor and musician.

The North Carolina native has actually appeared on two TV shows over the past three years (not counting his sister's): the fantasy series Skye of the Damned and the dark comedy Skeleton Crew. His IMDb page also lists that he worked as a production assistant on the 2016 show It’s Fine. And according to Facebook, he recently played Stanley Kowalski in a production of A Streetcar Named Desire.

Hunter is also a member of the band Plague of Jackals, and their music was featured on the Skye of the Damned soundtrack.

He’s a super supportive brother.

Not only has Hunter defended his sister against haters, but he joined her on the No Body Shame at Sea cruise she hosted late last year. In a video posted to his Instagram, Whitney gushed about her sibling.

“I just really want to talk about how much I love my brother. We’ve really come into our relationship here,” she says in the clip. “It’s taken us… well, he’s been alive for almost 37 years and me almost 33. But we have made it, and I love him so much and I actually just enjoy his company, and I don’t even know why! It’s weird.”

He recently learned how to ride a motorcycle.
