Who Did Adam Levine Bring Back on ‘The Voice’ Season 27? Fans Outraged Over His Super Save Pick
During The Voice season 27 playoffs, host Carson Daly surprised coaches Kelsea Ballerini, Michael Bublé, John Legend and Adam Levine by telling them they would be able to bring back one eliminated artist and send a total of three teammates each to the live shows. Adam excitedly said right away that he knew which contestant he was going to call, and many viewers hoped that it would be fan-favorite singer Britton Moore.
However, this wasn’t the case when the super save artists were revealed during the first live show on May 12, 2025. Instead, Adam’s pick caused a wave of controversy among fans.
Who Was Adam Levine’s Super Save on ‘The Voice’ Season 27?
Adam chose his teammate Conor James, whose blind audition with Aretha Franklin’s “I Say a Little Prayer” earned him four chair turns. The Massachusetts native went on to wow the coaches with performances of “How Deep Is Your Love” by the Bee Gees, “Forever Young” by Alphaville and “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan.
For his first live performance in the top 12, Conor sang “Chasing Pavements” by Adele. Adam told him that he “absolutely delivered” on his rendition and added, “I love the fact that we kept it pure and simple here because that was a nice thing for you to do at this point.”
“I thought for a second that it was over. I’m definitely really thrilled to still be back, and like I had more to show, I’m really happy to be here,” Conor said of being saved.
‘The Voice’ Fans Express Outrage Over Adam Levine Not Saving Britton Moore
Unfortunately, many fans weren’t happy with Adam’s decision to save Conor over Britton, and they made their thoughts known on social media as the super save artists were revealed at the start of the episode.
“Adam lost the day Britton went home,” one user wrote on X.
“Britton got robbed by Adam. I wish Britton had been on next season cause Niall wouldn’t have done him that way,” another fan added, referring to Niall Horan, who was recently announced as a returning coach for season 28.
“Ooof Adam just gave the win away by not saving Britton,” a third person wrote, while another fan joked, “Ngl I’m low-key convinced Britton and Adam got in a fight or something.”
On the other hand, other viewers were excited to see Conor back on the stage.
“IM SO HAPPY CONOR IS BACK,” one fan wrote on X, while another user added, “Conor James has an amazing voice, he should sing a song for a Disney movie.”
“Conor James gracing my TV with that incredible vocal. He is so individual, confident, makes me comfortable becuz he is. Very nice choices on this melody, and it sounded like him. I didn’t hear Adele. There’s no better mark of artistry,” a third person wrote.
Who Were the Other Super Saves on ‘The Voice’ Season 27?
Conor was joined by Kelsea’s pick Jaelen Johnston, Michael’s pick Kaiya Hamilton and John’s pick Olivia Kuper Harris. The super save artists performed alongside the rest of the top 12 on May 12, 2025, and viewers were able to vote for their favorite singers.
The voting results will be revealed during the May 13, 2025, episode, which airs from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET on NBC after a one-hour recap of the performances.
